# Spotlight

With **Spotlight** you add eye-catching cards to the home screen of your app, so members see straight away what you want to draw their attention to: a membership, a challenge, your leaderboard, a blog post or any link. You can run up to 3 spotlights at the same time. You'll find Spotlight under **Program \> Spotlight**, in the Communication group.

## Adding a spotlight

1. Go to **Program \> Spotlight** and click **Add spotlight**.
2. Under **Section**, choose where the card takes members:

- **Memberships:** your memberships.
- **Leaderboard:** your leaderboard.
- **Challenge:** a challenge.
- **Blog post:** a post from your blog.
- **Custom:** any link you choose.

1. Enter a title and the **Body** text (up to 55 characters). Keep it short and to the point.
2. Under **Link label**, enter the text on the button, for example "View memberships".
3. Use the translate button to translate the text automatically into the other languages of your app. You can still edit the translation afterwards.
4. Click **Edit card design** to change how the card looks.
5. Check the **Home screen preview** on the right to see exactly how members will see the spotlight, then click **Create**.

## Changing the order

Got more than one spotlight? Drag them on the Spotlight page to change the order they appear in on the home screen of your app.

**Tip:** use Spotlight together with a push notification. The push gets members to open the app, and the spotlight is the first thing they see when they do. For example: launch a new challenge, announce it with a push notification and put it in the spotlight for the weeks it runs.
