# Legal documents
Under App settings \> Legal documents, you add the legal documents your members accept in the app. There are three:
- **Terms of Service:** the terms your customers agree to when they sign up for your loyalty programme, such as how points are earned and redeemed and what's expected of their account.
- **Privacy Policy:** customers review and accept your privacy policy when they sign up. It sets out what personal data you collect from your members and how you use it to run the loyalty programme and keep their account secure.
- **Membership Terms** (optional): only relevant if you offer paid memberships. If you publish this document, customers have to accept it before buying a paid membership. Use it for arrangements around payment, duration, cancellation and house rules.
For each document you have two options:
- **Add:** add your own text, for example the terms you already use on your website.
- **Add from template:** start from a standard text and adapt it to your business.
