Go-live checklist
This checklist shows at a glance what needs to be ready before your app goes live. For each item, you'll find how to set it up in this guide. The checklist applies both to a native app (your own app in the App Store and Google Play) and to a loyalty integration in an existing app. Items marked native app only don't apply to an integration.
Your app
- ☐ Business settings: your business name, country, time zone, currency and app languages are correct.
- ☐ Locations: all your locations are added, with an address, image and Google Maps URL.
- ☐ App design: your logo and colours are set up. Check the result in the Live preview. For a native app, also set up your welcome screen.
- ☐ Navigation bar: (native app only) the navigation bar has the right tabs, for example a Booking Link or WhatsApp Link. With a loyalty integration, the navigation is set by your existing app.
Your loyalty programme
- ☐ Loyalty investment: your percentage is confirmed.
- ☐ Rewards: at least 7 rewards are ready, with a mix of rewards members can claim quickly and rewards they can save up for. Use your own photos where you can.
- ☐ Redemption: you know whether you use a QR code or a swipe, and your staff know how to redeem a reward (and have the admin login).
- ☐ Challenges: a few challenges are ready, for example a welcome gift, refer a friend and a stamp card.
- ☐ Tiers: the names, thresholds, card design and perks for each tier are checked.
- ☐ Optional: bonus points for quiet times, a leaderboard, partner rewards, memberships or a gift for your launch.
Integrations and payments
- ☐ Booking or POS system integration: the integration is active. If it needs API details, share them with our team or your Customer Success Manager.
- ☐ Stripe Connect: set up, if you want to offer prepaid cards or paid memberships.
Legal and FAQ
- ☐ Terms of Service and Privacy Policy: added. These are required to launch the app.
- ☐ Membership Terms: added, if you offer paid memberships.
- ☐ FAQ: generated or added yourself, and checked to make sure the answers match how your programme works.
App Store and Google Play (native app only)
- ☐ Developer accounts: if you're launching under your own name, create an Apple Developer account and a Google Play developer account and add developer@authic.io to your team (see Publishing your app under your own name). Do this first, as approval for new accounts can take a while. So your launch isn't delayed, we first launch your app under Authic's name. Once your own accounts are approved, we transfer the app to you.
Your launch
- ☐ Pre-launch call: scheduled with your Customer Success Manager to fine-tune your programme before launch and talk through your promotion.
- ☐ Promotion: your QR code and download links (Marketing) are ready, your flyers or posters are made, your staff know how to recommend the app and your launch email is ready (see Promoting your app).
